Every person can recollect a friend who is/was close to our heart and with whom we shared all our inner feelings/secrets. Even the LORD has Abraham whom HE called ‘my friend’. (Gen 18:17, James 2:23)
But sadly and truly we also have bitter memories of friends either leaving or betraying us.
You may say I don’t have any bad, bitter experience or betrayal. Brace yourself for such an experience because as a person we WILL disappoint each other in relationships.
But there is ONE who will never disappoint you and HE has proved it already.
Lord Jesus Christ being King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Rev 19:16), left His divine glorious existence, came into a dying world (1Tim 1:15-17), proved His faithfulness as a very loving friend (John 15:15) , gave His life on the cross, took our punitive place, suffered on the cross to give His blood as ransom/price for our sins (Matt 20:28, Heb 9:14), that thru Him we may have everlasting life (John 6:40) .
Can you think of any FRIEND who can do this. No one CAN except Lord Jesus Christ.
This Bible study is a honest presentation of Lord Jesus Christ as an ETERNAL friend, who will be with you not only in this life but also life after death. HE will take care of your spiritual, physical and mental needs. (Rev 21:1-7, 22:1-7).
Everyone needs to realize and understand that Lord Jesus Christ OUGHT to be the closest to our heart, so that WE can enjoy the great blessings this faithful ETERNAL friend has given us
