Acts 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

One of the many fond memories that I have from growing up at LBBC was the annual picture of those who read their Bible through in the year that was taken at the front of the auditorium. Though we didn’t have a picture taken this year, the emphasis on reading, searching, and obeying the Word of God hasn’t waned over the years. Last Sunday, the last Sunday of 2019, I had several people ask me about Bible reading schedules. Please except my apologies for forgetting to have them set out. Even though we are a few days into the new year, we have the new Bible reading schedules arrayed on a table in the hallway. I desire to pastor a people like the Thessalonians – a noble church of people searching the Scriptures dutifully, diligently, and daily. Let’s keep on reading, searching, and obeying in 2020.
