Psalms 63:4-7 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. [5] My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips: [6] When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches. [7] Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

We find in this passage the Holy Spirit inspired pondering of the Psalmist. He is found remembering and meditating on what God had done for him. (It would do us well to read the whole of Psalm 63) The result of his remembering and meditations is rejoicing and blessing God.

As we approach the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020, take some time to remember the goodness of God in 2019. Meditate on Him and His deeds. Let’s not go head long into another year – another decade – without thinking of His work in our lives When we remember His goodness in the last year, the next year will find our mouths praising Him with joyful lips.
