Hebrews 13:20-21 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus…Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

God, help me. God, give me. God, bless me. Often our prayers begin in this manner – and rightfully so – where would we be without His blessings? But what are we asking God’s blessings for? Hebrews 13 teaches us that God equips us with all that we need – to do HIS WILL, working in you that which is wellpleasing IN HIS SIGHT.

Be sure that “God help me” “God, give me” and “God bless me” is followed by God’s will. God, help me…please you. God give me…strength to do your will. God bless me…to live for You. He is not perfecting us to live for ourselves, but to live for Him. Let’s be sure that our prayer lives reflect that.
