Luke 24:11 And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not.

Do you ever feel like the person that you are telling about the good news of Jesus Christ receives that news as if it were idle tales? Some people, upon hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, are simply amused but not moved or changed like you were. Every person must come to the belief of the Gospel for themselves. How do we convince them? These ladies (Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and others) were only convinced of the resurrection of Jesus Christ when they remembered His words. (Lk 24:7-8)

It is the Word of God by which we are saved (1Pet 1:23), it is the Word of God that creates faith and belief (Rom 10:17), and it is the Word of God that we are commanded to preach (II Tim 4:2). When giving the Gospel, use His words, not yours!
